The Bioprofiler resource is equipped with an extensive system of detectors (UV/visible, diode arrays, fluorimetry, electrochemistry, light scattering, flame ionisation, mass spectrometry) coupled to five liquid chromatography (LC) chains, including three UFLC, and three gas chromatography (GC) chains. These facilities enable the detection and biochemical characterisation of a broad spectrum of biomolecules (amino acids, metabolites, etc.) and xenobiotics (pollutants, drugs), which may in some cases be associated with enzymatic activities that can be measured. These molecules and enzymatic activities may be involved in various (patho)physiological situations. In this context, for example, specific methods for measuring histone acetyltransferase, histone methyltransferase and protein tyrosine phosphatase activities have been developed in order to gain a better understanding of the mechanisms by which epigenetic and signalling enzymes are altered by leukaemogenic factors.
